Tech Toolkit
The tech toolkit I would use in my classroom is
called Wattpad. Here's the link to my wattpad blog:https://www.wattpad.com/user/360530. WATTPAD is a website where one can create its own library, follow
writers, and whoever they want to follow, and they can follow you back. Wattpad
gives you the ability to publish your writings, and your followers are your
audience, they can comment on your stories, like them, share them. Wattpad have
all different genres of stories, plays, poems, and it keeps you up with your
writers you get updates when they publish new writings, and you can save the
stories you want to read latter. I love Wattpad even though I haven't published
any of my writings there yet, but this website inspires me to write. I also
love Wattpad because most of the stories have two perspectives like the same
story will be told from the women’s perspective, and the men’s, which makes you
see things from different perspectives and respect both. I'm sure that this website will help every
English teacher because it inspires students to be creative writer, and read
endless stories they enjoy. It gives students the opportunity to read other
students writings, students like them. I can use this website to make my
students read outside class, and write reflection paper about whatever they
have read. I can create save class environment where students follow each
other, follow me for sure so I can keep up with them. I would have
limit over what they can read because sadly Wattpad has some bad writers
that I don't want my students to follow. Wattpad will give students the
ability to express their feelings through writing, because reading others work
will inspire them to share their story. Student would give each other critical
responses, and help each other to become better writers. I can use wattpad as a
tool to free students from books when they’re away from school because students
like to be able to read using their smartphones, computers, and laptops which gives the opportunity to read whenever they want.
