Tick Toolkit #5

Think Wave

All teachers need grading books and it’s not just they needed but they must use it throughout the whole school year to keep up with the grading the student’s papers such as homework, quizzes and test. And online gradebooks are such helpful tools for teachers, because it gives an easy way to grade, and save papers which of course saves trees.

So as a future educator it was a great opportunity for me to read the article about the grading books not just reading but playing around with the different gradebooks that was in the article. After looking at some of the gradebooks I decided that {Think Wave} would be such a great grading book for me as English teacher.

Think wave is an educational technology company that provides an online gradebook for all teachers for free, think wave allows teachers to grade students work, attendance, quizzes and tests. It also allows teachers to communicate with their students through messages, therefore teachers can remind the students who didn’t turn their work to do it, or send an informational message to all the students at once. While playing with the website I’ve created an account for me as an English teacher and I was satisfied with all the great things that think wave provides for teacher.

Through think wave teachers don’t have to print grade reposts because they have the ability to send it as a message, the parents can take a look at it and replay and you need to have to do that is the parents email address. Think wave gives you the opportunity to write the descriptions of the homework so you remember which homework is which, it also allows you to write important comments about your students therefore you can write down their personalities, birthdays so you understand them better and provide the help they need.

Personally I loved think wave, and I can’t wait to use it in the future.
